What does the Store Card cost me?

The annual Store Card fee is R60 (incl. VAT), which equates to R5.00 per month. This includes a lost card protection facility. This fee is debited to the account when it is opened and reviewed in June every year.

What is the interest rate charged on the card?

All balances outstanding after 55 days, attract interest at the ruling interest rate as determined by First National Bank.

How do I pay my monthly balance?

Payment can be done via direct debit order; in any Cape Union Mart store, via an ATM machine or via an internet payment (EFT).

How long do I have to wait for my card?

7 working days.

What is the minimum I have to earn in order to qualify for the card?

Customers have to earn at least R2000 per month in order to qualify for the Store Card.

How old must I be to apply?

21 years or older.

Within the next few months, you will be able to complete the Store Card application form online, but for the time being head down to your nearest Cape Union Mart, pick up a form and ask for assistance. Store staff will gladly help you fax the completed form. If you are an existing Store Card holder, call (011) 352-5190 to make balance enquiries etc.
